So How Effective Is Niacin For Lowering Cholesterol & Triglycerides?...
- Vitamin B3
Niacin is a very safe nutrient when used at "normal" dosages for general health functions (energy product, fat metabolism, etc.), such as those found in a regular daily multi-vitamin. (which is only 20-60 mgs daily usage.)
Niacin and cholesterol are closely linked, and niacin (vitamin B3) is recommended by some experts to help lower LDL (bad) cholesterol levels within your body.
Some cardiologists prescribe 3,000 milligrams (3 grams) of niacin per day or even higher amounts for people with very high cholesterol levels.
But, does it work?... and is it even safe at such an extremely HIGH dosage?...

Many studies show that for over half ... as much as 67% of people ... even 3,000 mgs (or more) of daily Niacin still doesn't help lower cholesterol. Additionally, the other form of Vitamin B3, "niacinamide" does NOT work at all.

As stated above, for 67% of users at the extreme high dose of 3,000 mgs daily (which is 150x HIGHER than the recommended daily allowance) it still does NOT work.... and for those that it does help lower cholesterol (the remaining 33%), most people experience the following negative side-effects:
- Stomach aches

In fact, there is a prescription formula dosage of niacin under the name of Niaspan - which again, is only prescribed through your medical doctor.

The main problem with high-dose niacin is the chronic toxicity issues that can lead to very serious consequences such as...
- Liver damage
- Eye damage
Many people are not able to continue taking these levels of niacin due to discomfort or danger to their health. And at such a high dose, your body will now create an IMBALANCE to all your other "B Vitamins" and minerals ... which leads to MORE problems!
